Ex-Everton Star SLAMS Blues Fans After Spotting ‘Staggering’ Scenes During Man United Clash
Everton fans were clearly disgruntled during the 2-2 draw against Manchester United on Sunday.
The Toffees faced the Red Devils at home in the first game at Hill Dickinson Stadium after a rather disastrous end to the transfer window.
Fan groups in L3 have decided not to put in much effort on matchdays after being let down by the Blues’ hierarchy.
The atmosphere at Hill Dickinson Stadium against Man United reflected the home supporters’ feelings.
David Moyes has arguably left with a weaker squad after Nathan Patterson, Beto and Iliman Ndiaye’s departures on deadline day.
The Hill Dickinson Stadium faithful have every right to show their disapproval of Angus Kinnear and The Friedkin Group, but their actions might not go down well with everyone.
What Everton fans did vs Manchester United
Everton fan group the 1878s decided to step aside after “gross negligence” from the club’s hierarchy in the transfer window.
It looks like most of the home support present at Hill Dickinson Stadium against Man United feel the same.
Former Toffees winger Pat Nevin couldn’t believe the lack of noise around in L3 during the game.
While the stadium seemed packed, there was hardly any atmosphere, something the Merseyside outfit’s fans are certainly responsible for.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live on 6 September, Nevin said, “I have to mention it again. How quiet is this? For the amount of people in this stadium, it’s staggeringly quiet.”
