What they’re saying nationally about the Saints 25-10 loss to the Raiders

NEW ORLEANS — The Las Vegas Raiders defeated the New Orleans Saints on Sunday with a 25-10 victory in the Superdome. The loss comes just days after the Saints were shut out by the Green Bay Packers on Monday night and marks the Saints’ fourth consecutive season eliminated from the playoff contention.

The Saints dropped 5-11, while the Raiders improved 4-12. Aidan O’Connell passed for two touchdowns, tight end Brock Bowers broke two rookie NFL records, and the Las Vegas Raiders won for just the fourth time this season.

With former Raiders quarterback Derek Carr sidelined for the Saints due to an injury to his non-throwing left hand, rookie Spencer Rattler made his fifth career start. Rattler, who remains winless as a starter, completed 20 of 36 passes for 218 yards and one TD with two interceptions.

Rattler also led the team in rushing for a second straight week, adding 46 yards on the ground.
