WATCH: Novak Djokovic & Nick Kyrgios show off unreal athleticism in Brisbane doubles with 2 tweeners in 1 rally

Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios displayed exceptional athleticism by playing two tweeners in one rally during their second-round doubles match at the 2025 Brisbane Open. This was the first time that the Serb had partnered with Kyrgios for a doubles match in his career.

Djokovic and Kyrgios kicked off their 2025 season at the ATP 250 hard-court tournament in Queensland. The duo received a wild card to the main draw and started strong, defeating the pair of Alexander Erler and Andreas Mies 6-4, 6-7(4), 10-8.

In the second round, Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios faced the top-seeded pair of Nikola Mektic and Michael Venus, ultimately falling short with a score of 2-6, 6-3, 8-10. However, it was Kyrgios’ impressive display of athleticism that stole the spotlight during a thrilling rally. The former World No.13 amazed the audience with two tweeners, a challenging shot where the player hits the ball between their legs.

Djokovic also contributed to the excitement by covering a significant portion of the court and making brilliant returns. Despite their remarkable efforts, the Serb-Aussie duo ultimately lost the rally.
