Report: New Orleans Saints to start rookie QB Rattler against Raiders as Carr, Kamara sit out

With top players sidelined, the New Orleans Saints will start rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler against the Las Vegas Raiders in a late-season matchup Sunday.

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints will face the Las Vegas Raiders at noon Sunday at the Caesars Superdome, with little on the line for either team in this late-season matchup.

The playoff-eliminated Saints released their list of inactive players for Sunday’s game against Las Vegas. Key players, Quarterback Derek Carr and running back Alvin Kamara, are among those sitting out this game.

Rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler, a South Carolina product, is set to make his second consecutive start for the Saints. This will mark his sixth appearance of the season.

The teams last met in 2022, when the Saints crushed a 24-0 victory over the Raiders in New Orleans.
