Jets Coach Aaron Glenn Turns Heads With Brutal Roster Assessment: ‘Everyone’s Under The Microscope!’

New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn didn’t pull any punches when assessing the roster.

One thing is for sure regarding New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn and the roster that many say is talented – no one is safe.

With Glenn hired and Darren Mougey as general manager, between them, they will dissect the Jets roster and work out where the strengths and weaknesses are and how they can get better.

Part of that is Aaron Rodgers and what the franchise wants to do with the aging quarterback. Having failed in the last two seasons, it isn’t known if the Jets want Rodgers back and vice versa, but that hasn’t stopped fans wanting to know the plan of attack for No. 8.

However, if you were hoping that Glenn would be focused on Rodgers, think again, as he didn’t mince his words when talking about the task in front of him.

“Me and Mo [Mougey] going to sit there, and we’re going to watch every game tape there is and then we’re going to look at the whole roster,” Glenn said. “This thing is not about Aaron Rogers, folks, this is about the roster. We plan on building the best roster that we can ,so whatever that may be guard, tackle defensive tackle. that’s what we’re evaluating and listen everybody’s under microscope, that’s just what it is. We’re going to do the best we can to make sure we build the best roster.”

It appears that Rodgers, at least initially, won’t be getting any special treatment from Glenn as he looks to make the Jets a force again.

With so many talented players on the roster, the Jets could see a quick turnaround, but it is clear Glenn will be taking him to decide on who he wants and who he doesn’t in 2025.

And you better understand that this thing doesn’t revolve around No. 8 – this is Glenn’s show.
