Green Bay Packers defensive end Rashan Gary has received his first ever NFL individual honor as he gets named to the 2025 Pro Bowl Games for the first time since entering the league in 2019.
He is one of the three Packers defenders named to the Pro Bowl. Safety Xavier McKinney likewise gets his first citation and as a starter while running back Josh Jacobs got his third.
Gary signed a four million contract extension with the Packers in 2023 and he has been proving his worth for the team week by week. He leads his team this season in terms of sacks 6.5, ranking 42nd overall in the league in that department.
The 2024 season was not an ideal one for him as he is coming off a knee injury, something that contributed to his surprise in getting named to the Pro Bowl.

He said the award feels surreal for him, adding that “to be honest, it hasn’t hit me yet.”
Gary was drafted 12th overall in 2019 and has played all his pro career for the Packers. However, his time with the team was marred by various injuries, having played all games in one season just once.

This is Gary’s first honor in the pro ranks and he said there is more he can give.
In fact, he has an ambitious goal for himself.
“Sky is the limit, man,” he told reporters when asked about the award.
“As a Pro Bowl. Being an NFL Top 100 player. That’s the next step for me.”
Aside form individual goals, he is also dreaming big for his team.
Gary said the focus for him right now is the playoffs.
“We focus on one thing, finishing the games going into the playoffs.”
