Versatile New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill might have already played his last game in the 2024 NFL season.
The 34-year-old Hill suffered a gruesome-looking lower-body injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s meeting with the Los Angeles Rams at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Hill was looking to gain some yards when his knee collided with the helmet of a Rams defender.
He was later carted off the field but was able to provide some optimism when he waved to the crowd.
However, the slow-mo video of the moment Hill suffered the injury offers a much less comforting sight for anyone who dares to watch it.

“got damn and he held onto the ball. dude is a warrior. prayers up for a speedy and full recovery,” commented an X user.
“Yeah that looks gnarly,” said another fan. From another social media commenter: “Going into age 35 season. Could be career ending.” Another comment read:
“I’m sick ” “Yikes, that doesn’t look good at all,” chimed in a fan. Despite leaving the Rams game early, Hill still ended up being the Saints’ receiving leader in Week 13, as he had 37 yards on five catches and seven targets.
In addition, the former BYU Cougars star had 10 rushing yards on five carries. While there is no concrete diagnosis of Hill’s injury at the time of this writing, it’s fair to expect him to be sidelined for more than just a week following his injury in the Saints’ 21-14 loss to the Rams.
