Rangers Make Serious Václav Černý Move as Turkish TV Insider Reveals Transfer Bid
Rangers are making a relentless push to sign Besiktas winger Vaclav Cerny, with a Turkish TV insider claiming Ibrox chiefs are “bothering” the player with a serious transfer offer.
The Light Blues have reportedly lined up a deal to sign Kim Min-su from Girona, but want to add another right-sided winger before the transfer window slams shut.
Speaking live on A Spor on Sunday (23 August), veteran journalist Haldun Domac disclosed fresh transfer intel regarding Rangers’ aggressive pursuit of Cerny as the deadline approaches.
Rangers have made ‘serious’ offer for Cerny, but he wants to stay
Domac revealed that Rangers have been constantly knocking on the door to secure Cerny’s signature, leaving Besiktas manager Vincenzo Italiano with a huge decision on his hands.
He said: “Let me tell you, they are bothering Cerny a lot.
“According to the intel I’ve gathered, Rangers are making a huge effort to sign Cerny.
“They’ve submitted a very serious offer to Besiktas. But let’s see if Vincenzo Italiano at Besiktas will grant him permission to leave at this point.
“We’ll observe and watch that closely.”
However, despite Rangers‘ reported push to finalise a deal before the window shuts, a switch to Glasgow looks set to hit a major brick wall.
Rangers News understands from sources close to the player that Cerny has no intention of leaving Besiktas in this transfer window.
The Czech winger is fully settled in Istanbul and enjoys playing under Italiano, meaning he is not looking to depart regardless of whether Besiktas accept Rangers’ formal bid.Unless there is a sudden change of heart from the player himself, Derek McInnes and Co. look set to be turned away in their pursuit.
This raises serious questions about the wisdom behind Rangers pushing so hard to sign Cerny.
One cannot help but think why the Glaswegian outfit would make a ‘serious’ push to bring the winger back to Ibrox without receiving any sort of encouragement from the player or his camp.
Therefore, it remains to be seen if there is one final twist in Rangers’ pursuit of the former Wolfsburg ace.
