Yuki Tsunoda was confirmed as Lawson’s replacement instead, and it couldn’t be a more special occasion for the Japanese star as he makes his debut for Red Bull at his home circuit in Sukuza.
Sky F1 pundit raises Lewis Hamilton ‘issue’
Former Aston Martin strategist turned Sky F1 pundit Bernie Collins has spoken out about Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton’s issues at the moment.
It comes after Hamilton confirmed his team are running the SF-25 higher than they want to after he was disqualified from the Chinese Grand Prix for excessive skid block wear.
It raised questions about the sensitivity of Ferrari’s car. And Collins said: “So maybe they have a car that’s very sensitive to ride height in terms of aero performance. All of these cars are because they’re all ground-effect cars, but maybe it is more sensitive than others.
“If they have got what we would call a ‘peaky’ ride height, which means there’s a very small optimum ride height that you can have a good aerodynamic platform in, that is an issue for a car.”
