Celtic Star Missing From Official Squad Number release as fans reacts

CELTIC fans are convinced they have seen the last of one player after he was posted missing from their official squad numbers update.

The Hoops confirmed their first-team squad numbers via the new Celtic app today, with Kasper Hogh and Camilo Duran taking numbers nine and 11.

But another Celtic striker was nowhere to be seen, sparking further speculation that he is on his way out of Parkhead.

Irish hitman Johnny Kenny hasn’t featured in pre-season this summer after his loan spell at Bolton was cut short last term following a nasty knee injury.

He returned to training at Lennoxtown last week, but has found himself playing catch-up as Celtic kick off their new Premiership campaign against Dundee tonight.

Kenny will likely find himself fourth in the pecking order behind the two new recruits and Callum Osmand.

And it is looking increasingly likely that he will depart before the transfer window closes, with several clubs — including Bolton — showing keen interest.

The EFL League One side are desperate to bring him back down south and have been exploring the possibility of a permanent deal for the Republic of Ireland star.

Now, Hoops fans are convinced he is closing in on a move following the release of the updated squad list.

Kenny is still listed as a Celtic player on the club’s official website with the number 24 beside his name.
